Courses can be designed to your requirements. A sample of courses provided are included for your information.

1. BME Children and Families

IKL Associates can design and develop individual training programmes to meet the needs of the commissioning agency. Training can be provided for professional staff or foster carers and would be facilitated by Black consultants.

2. Safeguarding Children/Child Protection

We provide a multi agency approach to training delivery with facilitators from both Social Work and Health backgrounds.

Training programmes can be designed at both introductory and advanced levels for staff from a range of agencies including the statutory, voluntary and independent sectors.

Courses can assist in introducing safeguarding policies to staff groups, or specialist courses can be designed according to the needs of your organisation.

3. Supervision Skills in Social Care

Courses can be designed for Managers/Supervisors accoording to the needs of your organisation.
Courses can also be designed for supervisees to empower them to gain the maximum benefits from supervision.

Sample Course:

Duration: Three Days
Suitable for: Managers and staff with supervisory responsibilities within social care.

 
  • To provide participants with the knowledge and skills to supervise staff effectively.
  • To gain a working knowledge of Kolb's reflective practice cycle as a problem solving model in supervision
  • To understand the role of supervision in promoting anti discriminatory practice.
  • To understand the factors contributing to underperformance and explore strategies for tackling this.
  • To enable participants to review and record their current levels of competence and set goals to improve their supervisory practice.
